Our Earth – Biodiversity for children
“Truth springs forth from the Earth.”
WCS (incorporated in 1998) is a non profit educational organization. Our mission is to advance education with focus on peace education through Environment – Biodiversity, Montessori pedagogy, Theology and Ethics, Recreation, and Social and Cultural acceptance programs both locally and worldwide.
WCS vision is to see children become creative and highly intelligent people with ethics and integrity – to serve our fellow citizens, countries, and the environment worldwide.
WCS looks forward to implementing our educational goals locally and worldwide. We look for Canadian government support in our continued ventures for global peace through education particularly in the early years.
Dr. Rodgers, in an televised interview a decade ago, said that “It is more important to educate the young in the early years so that we have less problematic issues in our society. It is even more important than me getting my PhD at Columbia University”. In Rodgers’ book “Canada Can Thrive”, we are inspired by his writings that Canada can thrive to become a global leader in environment and cultural influences through education and technology.
We would like to organize, design and implement its own curriculums, research, websites, games and activities on Biodiversity for children. These programs are based on children’s level of development, age appropriateness and the environments.
We plan to initiate this Biodiversity for children project in our local community, country and worldwide. We also hope to instil in young people the significance of Biodiversity on Earth. In turn, they will be inspired to share, guide and teach Biodiversity to young children in the communities.
Due to our limited resources, WCS, with its affiliates, is seeking funding through donations and sponsorships for this Biodiversity project from corporations, individuals and foundations, and education/research grants from governments and corporations.
We are also seeking collaboration, affiliations and endorsements with NGOs and corporations in promoting Biodiversity for the Earth.
WCS intends to apply and adapt to the guidelines on Biodiversity for the Earth, adopted and endorsed by countries all over the world.
